QA Lead
Job Description:
- Ensure the Quality Assurance of the projects with the help of a team of engineers
- Define quality standards and implement CMM Level 5 quality standards
- Interact with customer directly on daily basis and report the work
- Plan and manage resources for 3 testing projects and 3 small teams
- Need to design and implement automation and performance Testing
- Implement quality standards in development projects
- Need to manage team conflicts constructively and build team spirit
- Highly process oriented with CMM knowledge to take the projects to next step
- Self motivated to work independently and professionally
Candidate Profile:
Quality:
- 2 year of experience in testing web based applications
- 1 year of experience in testing backend applications, APIs and system level testing
- 1 year of experience in using XML and related technologies
- 1 year hands on experience in testing using UNIX/Linux systems
- 2 years in setting quality strategy on all phases of SDLC (not just in testing)
- 3 years in test planning and developing test cases
- 2 years of Experience in CMM level 5 and ISO companies is a must
- 2 years of automaton with Silk/QLTP or similar tools
- 1 year of hands on performance test planning and automation
Managerial:
- Minimum 3 years of QA Lead or QA Manager experience
- Managed at least 5 member team in his/her career
- 2 years of experience of interacting with client directly
- 2 years of experience in planning and managing day to day operations of a quality team
- 1 year of experience in providing project estimations using Microsoft Project
- Should have spontaneous thinking and be able to make quick decisions independently
- Must have excellent analytical skills and logical thinking
- Should be able to work under pressure and be strong to give direction to team members
- Must be able to clearly communicate with technical, quality and executive teams
- Good people management skills and leadership qualities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are must
- Good presentation skills
Desired/Optional Skills:
- Previous programming hands-on experience
- Mobile Industry experience
- Experience with share point or such collaboration tools
- CMM or other quality certifications
- Need to design and implement automation and performance Testing
- PMP certification is a strong plus
Education:
- BTech/MCA/computers degree from English medium college is a must
Exceptions:
- If the candidate has CMM experience or other skills mentioned in desired/optional skills, technical experience can be compromised
- No exceptions on education for this position
